Today on our 2020 Ford Explorer, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the K-Source Universal Fit Dual Lens Towing Mirrors.Whenever we use a towing mirror, it's really going to help expand our field of view. That can really be useful whenever we're making a lane change, maybe backing up into a tight parking spot or just want to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us. To give you an example, as you can see, I'm visible in our towing mirror, but not in our factory mirror. And because of that dual lens design, you kind of get a couple of different looks or angles at what's going on behind us. But if I take a few steps closer to our trailer here, I'll disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. more

K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors Review - 2015 Ford Explorer- Video
Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the K-Source dual view clip on towing mirror on our 2015 Ford Explorer. Now what I really like about this mirror is the fact that it does give you those two mirrors. The larger mirror is going to give you a really accurate depiction of what's behind you, where the smaller mirror is going to act like a spot mirror. Now having that extra field of view is really nice, especially when you're towing a trailer. You can keep an eye on the tires in the back or if we need to change lanes we can make sure that we know what's going on.So here I am at the back of my trailer, and you can clearly see me in the factory mirror but if I we're to step away, you're going to lose track of me. Just like if we needed to change lanes on the highway, or we're passing somebody or potentially backing our trailer up at the camp grounds, either way our mirror is going to give us an accurate depiction, we'll get a wider field of view, and we can confidently get down the road knowing that everyone around us and ourselves are going to be safe. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-on Towing Mirror Installation - 2013 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Dual View Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. So here I am at the back of my trailer and you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I step away you lose track of me in the factory mirror but you can see me in our towing mirror. Now these are going to help out whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, or even pulling up to the camp ground, or backing our trailer up. Now this is a dual view mirror. The large mirror here is going to be a flat mirror, giving us an accurate depiction of what's directly behind us, whereas the smaller mirror here is going to be a convex shape, and it's going to be more of a built-in spot mirror. Now we're going to have full adjustment on both of the mirrors, being able to adjust them up and down, left and right, and even diagonally to make sure that we can get that perfect angle so we can see what's behind us, making sure that we're being safe. Now even though our mirror's going to mount in between the glass and the housing we're still going to be able to have full control and full access to our adjustments on our factory mirror, being able to go up and down, left and right, and adjust it to any angle we need. Now we're not going to be able to fully fold our mirror in because the bottom here is going to make contact with our door. more

Now, here I am at the back of my trailer and you can clearly see me in my factory mirror. If I step to the side, you're going to lose track of me in my factory mirror and you'll see me in the towing mirror. Now, that's going to be the benefit whether we're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, or if we're backing our trailer up or even pulling up to the campgrounds. Now, we're going to be able to adjust the angle and the view we get in our towing mirror. We're going to be able to adjust it to the left, to the right, up and down and diagonally. Now, if we remove the set screw from the back here, we can actually remove our mirror and rotate it so we can get a wider angle. more

CIPA Clamp on Universal Fit Towing Mirror Installation - 2013 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer, we're going to be taking a look at the Cipa universal clamp on towing mirror, part number CM11980. Now here I am at the back of my trailer, and you can clearly see me in the factory mirror, but if I move away, you lose track of me. That's where our tow mirror's going to come into play, whether you're driving down the highway and we need to change lanes, or even backing up coming to a campground. Our towing mirror's going to have full adjustability, we're going to be able to adjust it up and down, left and right, and even turn it for a wide angle view. Now, if we come to the top here, and we loosen this knob up, we can actually extend our mirror out for an even wider view, that way we can know what's behind us, and be safe at all times. Then if we come to the back here, and we loosen this knob up, we can actually adjust how tall our mirror's going to sit, we can slide it down for a lower view, or we can slide it up for a little bit of a higher angle. Now, we're not going to lose any function of our factory mirror, we're still going to be able to adjust it to the left and to the right, up and down, and any angle that we may need, and we're still able to even fold in our mirror. Now, since we're not going to have anything obstructing our mirror on the back here, we're still going to be able to utilize our factory turn signal built into our mirror. Another great thing about these mirrors is, they are universal, so if you have several vehicles in your family, that you tow with, these might fit those as well. more

Today on our 2017 Ford Explorer we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install clip on towing mirror, part number 7070. Now that we're at the back of the trailer you can see we have plenty of visibility in our factory mirror, but if we step outside you can see we lose that visibility, but gained it in our towing mirror. This mirror is fully adjustable to change your field of view. On the front of the mirror it has two plastic clips that attach in between the mirror and the housing. Rubber straps on the back give it a secure fit. Your factor mirror still partially folds in for getting into tight spaces. Now we're going to show you how to install the clip on mirror. What you want to do is you want to line up these tabs with the housing of the mirror. more

Today on our 2017 Ford Explorer, we'll be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Cipa universal fit towing mirrors, part number CM11980. Now that we're at the back of the trailer, you can see we have plenty of vision in our factory mirrors. But if we step outside, you lose that visibility, but gain it in your towing mirrors. This mirror is fully adjustable. Tilts forwards and backwards, side to side, and can be tilted sideways to adapt to any view. This mirror can also be extended by loosening this nut, to widen your field of view. This mirror mounts by using two plastic clips and two rubber feet. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll go ahead and show you how to get this installed. more

Today on our 2016 Ford Explorer we'll be taking a look at the K-Source towing mirrors, part number KS3891. Here at the back of our trailer we have a lot of visibility in our factory towing mirror although if I step out to the side we lose the visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror, so we can safely pass and use it for parking. The mirror itself is adjustable. The towing mirror also allows you to fold in your mirror slightly, if you need to. The ratcheting straps provide a nice, snug fit and secure around many different types of mirrors. Now that we've gone over some features, we'll show you how to get these installed. We're going to start by taking our towing mirror and loosely placing it around our factory mirror. more

By loosening up the large nut up top here, we can extend the bar out to further suit our towing needs. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2014 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on this 2014 Ford Explorer, we're going to install part number KS3891. This is a K-Source Universal Towing Mirror. First, take a look at the mirror, you may want to pre-set it. The mirror itself sits on a ball joint where you can manipulate it and twist it anyway you want. It's a really tight fit, so it's going to not move around at all and then you can see how it can maneuver width here and there's a joint here. This can adapt to a variety of size mirrors. Makes it easier to install, I like to have these guys pulled up towards the top. more
